Rumi Poems — on Love, Polyamory, and Grief?
and my questions about polyamory, grief, divorce, love, and lifelong partners
“The minute I heard my first love story,
I started looking for you, not knowing
how blind that was.Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere.
They’re in each other all along.” — Rumi
You want love to find you, or you want to find it, but to be honest, you don’t know exactly how to do that without sacrificing something?
I listen to that little voice that tells me to wait for the right lover.
I know I have something more to give, but to whom?
How do I find them? Or her?
And more importantly, what kind of M&M’s does she like to eat… because I only eat Peanut Butter M&M’s?
*wink, wink.
Let me tell you a little story that ended in 1995 about a boy who loved his parents:
“We are getting a divorce,” my mom said.
“Wait, why?” I said, as a teenager. “You guys never argue. I thought you were the perfect couple.”
