Hey, remember, masterpieces aren’t made in a hurry, and they aren’t created with one big paint brush. It takes work.
In Belgium, I wake up just like you. I (involuntarily) breathe just like you. I brush my teeth. You feed your cats. I feed my dog. You hug your kids. Or you rush to work in a brain fog. I sometimes have lonely days where I sink into my bed at night and turn on Sam Harris’s meditation lessons. I miss my loved ones, just like you might. There is one thing I try not to do — compare my life to yours.
I am free to move, try, live, and start new things because I have built a life of value through financial freedom, investing in passive income, and working my balls off for 20 years. Everything I did was for the chance to live aligned with the values I hold closest to my heart.
The work in staying true to yourself starts now — when you feel scared, alone, poor, unintelligent, or possibly broken. Remember, you get to make your destiny. Most people don’t make their destiny their choice — they let life choose for them.
